Julian Clarke | Director and FounderFor more than 25 years, I've had the privilege of working with some of the best-loved independent eyewear brands, practice owners and larger luxury optical retailers around the world.Starting as a sales rep, agent and distributor in the UK I joined British luxury brand Cutler and Gross as International Head of Sales, later becoming Global Commercial Director for a luxury subsidiary of Mondottica Group.This gave me 360º insight into high-level category management and supply: eyewear and accessories product creation, global sourcing, global brand management and commercialisation, and acquisition.I now own the business that started my optical career and founded this commercial consultancy in 2019. Why?Because we see a future with a thriving, profitable and resilient independent optical retail sector, where professionals have high earning potential, patients have a real choice and the independent product producers have the route to market their creativity and investment deserves.
